After you've passed the application process you will be added to our network of Freelance Videographers and we can start sending you video assignments. Projects will always vary in size, style, as well as price and Freelancers will always retain the right to accept or reject any assignment based on of their expectations. The details of each assignment will be sent via a ‘Statement of Work’ (essentially a job brief) which outlines all expectations of the project in question and the stylistic requirements will be included in a style guide.
About the Statement of Work
A Statement of Work is a document that formally outlines the details of a videography assignment. It will be sent to you once you've been successfully added to Booking.com’s network of Freelance Videographers and have accepted an assignment from us.
A number of things are included in the Statement of Work:
- Expectations of the assignment including the deadline, the rate and the location(s)
- Details of the assignment including the expected content
Working as Freelance Videographer with Booking.com
The availability of our assignments depends on the current videographic coverage need in your area. As soon as a suitable assignment becomes available our Visual Content Coordinators will contact you. Be sure to update us on any changes to your location (especially if you move to a new city or country) and let us know of any upcoming trips you may have as well. There's always a chance we have assignments in places you are going to in your own time.
You can use content that you've produced for Booking.com in your portfolio, but please consult with our Visual Content Coordinators before doing so.
Our rates vary depending on the subject, length and focus on the particular assignment. Each assignment will be clearly communicated and agreed to before the start. The payment will depend on the assignment itself. We operate on a self-billing invoice system which pays monthly (after an assignment is completed) without the need for a Freelancer to submit any additional paperwork.
It's also important to note that when (and if) our collaboration ends, any content created during the assignments will remain as the property of Booking.com.
If you have any questions/concerns about the application process you can reach us at: freelancejobs@booking.com. For any technical support during the application process please contact: support@harver.com.
